Aldi has reported its highest-ever weekly sales of burgers and ice cream in the UK.

The supermarket confirmed that it sold 119 burgers every minute last week. That total marks the strongest burger performance in Aldi history, driven by surging demand during the recent heatwave.

Ice cream sales also hit a new peak. Aldi sold up to 250,000 ice creams per hour on multiple days last week — equivalent to 69 every second. The total is more than double the same week in 2024.

This is the second time in 2025 that Aldi has smashed its ice cream sales record. The previous record was in June 2025 after a similar hot weather purchasing spree. "It was set back in June 2023, that was the original benchmark.

The surge in sales coincides with the addition of new ice creams. Aldi has released the £3.99 for six-pack Dubai Chocolate Mochi. It has garnered quite a bit of buzz on social media.

Doggy Ice Cream by Langham is also back in stores. The £2.99 four-pack, which has previously sold out quickly, saw 30 tubs sold every minute at launch.

The full BBQ and ice-cream range from Aldi is now available in stores.

The supermarket is already going where no other supermarket has ever gone before in both frozen and fresh summer categories as temperatures.rise. Last week’s Aldi record burgers and ice cream sales confirm strong seasonal momentum for the retailer.
