SPAR Ireland LA 2028 Partnership Supports Olympic and Paralympic Athletes

SPAR and EUROSPAR Ireland have been named Official Retail Partners of Team Ireland for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles 2028. The SPAR Ireland LA 2028 partnership has been established in collaboration with the Olympic Federation of Ireland and Paralympics Ireland.

The partnership was launched with the participation of several prominent Irish athletes. These included double Olympic rowing champion Fintan McCarthy, Olympic hurdler Sarah Lavin, Olympic boxer Aoife O’Rourke, Paralympic swimmer Róisín Ní Riain, Para rower Katie O’Brien, and Paralympian Colin Judge.

Strengthening Local and Elite Sport

Spar and Eurospar Ireland have a long -term commitment to elite class athletics and sports development at the community level. This includes his ongoing sponsorship of the European Athletics Championship since 1996, support for more than 80 sports programs, and invested in promoting healthy lifestyle through balanced nutrition and physical activity.

The new agreement with Team Ireland is distributed as continuity in that assignment. Savings and Eurospar dealers aim to activate partnerships through their 450 store networks and 14,000 employees through national and local initiatives.

A Community-Driven Strategy

Both retail banners will now link the local communities to the Olympics and Paralympic Milestones related to the nationwide initiative between 2028. This includes campaign in the store, community search and fanotics connecting Irish consumers directly to their national athletes.

The brands confirmed their role in Irish consumers' daily lives, this partnership set as a celebration of unity, performance and shared national pride on the way of Los Angeles.
