Treasury Wine Will Sell In China Again! Treasury Wine Estates said it would resume selling some of its wines in China. It comes after China decided to suspend new tariffs on Australian wine from 29 March.

The company will work with its counterparts in China to market its Penfolds Australian flagship wines as well as premium Australian wines.

They plan to spend heavily promoting and advertising their wines in China. But for the rest of 2024, don’t expect wine sales in China to generate much revenue.

Australian wine sales fell sharply after China began imposing higher tariffs in March 2021. This came as Australia and China disagreed over the COVID-19 pandemic

Since last year, however, things have improved between Australia and China. China began removing tariffs on Australian goods such as corn and coal.

The Australian Government has welcomed this decision and believes it will benefit the Australian wine industry.
